90 Day Shred Challenge Complete

Okay, so I’m a little late in posting this.  My 90 day shred challenge was officially complete May 1st.  Since I have been a bit preoccupied with moving and a growing, needy infant, I did lose a little momentum.

How I Significantly Increased My Milk Supply In Just 48 Hours

As a breastfeeding mama milk supply is key to a healthy feeding for your little nugget.  Sometimes I feel like this is all I do.  Since my daughter has gotten older.. a whopping 5 months to be exact.. she has been sleeping through the night, between 10 to 12 hours and I have started her on beginners oatmeal at least once a day.  Which has made me a little lazy with my pump.  It doesn’t help the added stress I’ve been under lately with our getting ready to move outta state.

How I Got Through A Home Finding Trip With A 4 Month Old

So it’s official.  Our little family will be leaving Chicago.  My husband gratefully accepted a promotion that is relocating us to Kansas City, Missouri.  I am extremely excited for this new chapter in our lives.  Although I will miss Chicago, I am super ready for the change.  This move will bring us so much closer to both of our families, which is great for our peanut.

Hair Tourniquet

These last few weeks have been very busy and somewhat stressful, but for the better.  My husband got a promotion and we are being relocated to Kansas City.  The past couple of days we have been getting our home in Chicago on the market and house hunting in the KC area.  All with a 4 month old baby and two large dogs. Yikes.

Never Eat Alone – Keith Ferrazzi

I’m going to start off by saying I have mixed opinions on this read. I feel it has great thoughts and ideas about networking and growing your reach and impact however in practice it seems to be much more difficult than actually laid out by the author. Could be that the right personality makes all the difference or at least taking the time to focus on challenging yourself to get uncomfortable to grow people skills to a level to duplicate the examples mentioned in the book.

St. Patty’s Day, Chicago Style

My husband and I have lived in Chicago for three years now and never had experienced the big St. Patrick’s Day celebration downtown.  It seemed like we always had some other commitment on that weekend.   This year we were free and wanted to see what the hype was all about.

Tutus and Bows

I had a total blast with this tutus and bows photo shoot.  Im getting really excited for spring, so my goal here was bright and airy.  I feel as if I succeeded!  This little nugget was in a great mood and was the perfect subject :). I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did taking them.

Never Stop Dating Your Spouse

Typical married couples lose sight of how it felt when they first met.  We get so caught up with the hustle and bustle of  busy life that our relationship with our spouse starts to fade into the background, especially once kids are in the picture.  It’s so easy to let everything drain us.  Soon we forget the reasons why we fell in love with our spouse in the first place.
